Laser engraving is a great way to beautifully personalize your Backgammon. The roll up board, the rolling cups and the checkers can all be laser engraved with your personal initials, a special date, a short quote or even your own design.
The process is as follows:
Share with us the design or text you wish to have laser engraved and the desired placement of the engraving. If we note any issues with the size or the placement of the engraving then we will be in touch otherwise we will process your order and send you a mock up of your design for your approval. Once approved and payment in full has been received we will commence laser engraving your personalized roll up backgammon. The most popular placement of the laser engraving and the quickest is the center bar of the board (as in photo). The engraving placed here usually takes less than 1 week and costs around 40 euro (as in photo). Otherwise the cost for laser engraving starts at 35 euro and can take up to 8 weeks lead time depending placement of the design.
YES I WANT TO CUSTOMIZEWhile all the leather roll up boards and dice cups are hand stitched in the Bos Backgammon atelier the checkers are produced by independent artisans employing a variety of materials. Besides the standard checker models we already offer on this site there are a vast array possibilities to create your own custom set of checkers. From simply choosing a special type of stone or wood or the color of the resin to the more deluxe options of inlaid mother of pearl, hand carved designs, sterling silver borders and detailing and the list goes on.

BACKGAMMON CHECKER SETSLet us know what colors you want us to use for the board and the points and we will tailor make a leather roll up backgammon to match.
The process is as follows:
Using your selected color combinations we will source the leather and share photos for your approval.
Once the leathers have been approved a personal meeting with Patricia will be arranged to confirm the final details. (Kindly note that at this point a deposit of 250 euro is required.) When the design and colors have been all been approved and confirmed you will receive a mock-up drawing of your backgammon board. To start the actual fabrication of your unique board a 50% deposit will be needed and the balance is due when your backgammon is complete and ready to be shipped.
The cost of a custom made backgammon starts from 500 euro and the total lead up time is 6-8 weeks.
